At the E3 video game conference last year, Sony unveiled their motion controller Move (much like that of the Nintendo Wii) for the PS3. They have delayed the launch date from spring to fall in order to sort out the usual last minute problems that affect lots of new products.
Sony's new Motion Controller (for the PS3)
This controller is intended to be a Wii killer - after Sony's original last minute addition of motion control to the original controller didn't work as well as the company had originally hoped.
The controller works much like the Wii remote, and has the ability to locate itself in a 3D environment using a camera (the Playstation Eye)- meaning it works like a Wii Remote with the Wii motion plus attachment.
At the E3 demonstration, many believe that with a little fine tuning, this could truly bring fantastic 3D motion controlled gaming to the Playstation. There were many possible ideas shown at E3, ranging from drawing lassos around troops in a top down strategy game to grabbing blocks off of an assembly line - with motion control and the PS3's hardware, the possibilities look limitless.
